Description and Usage

Latex-ite Acrylic Color is a non-fading, weather-proof, 100% acrylic coating for use on plant mix asphalt, emulsified asphalt and suitable concrete surfaces. Latex-ite protects the underlying surface from weather and climactic conditions and is resistant to fuels, oils, alkalies and solvents. Made of acrylic resins, mineral fillers and colorfast pigments, the Latex-ite Acrylic Color System provides a tough, durable surface of uniform texture that remains flexible. Designed for use on tennis courts, basketball courts*, recreational areas and various other usages, the finished texture can be varied easily by controlling the amounts of fine mesh silica sand aggregate which is added to the Latex-ite Acrylic Color at the project site. Unlike other acrylic surfacing systems, each coat of Latex-ite Acrylic Color, is fully pigmented, resulting in richer, longer lasting, in depth color.

*Four applications recommended in key areas.

ACRYLIC RESURFACER

1. FILLER COURSE: In order to provide a uniform and dense underlayment for the Latex-ite system you have chosen, the first step in constructing the course is application of Acrylic Resurfacer blended with approved silica sand to the hot mix asphalt surface.

2. HEAVY RUBBER COURSE: Apply Latex-ite, large rubber particles, designed to provide maximum resiliency in the minimum number of coats. A unique proprietary product, Latex-ite provides the thick cushion build-up which gives the particular system you are constructing the foundation for its distinct playing characteristics.

3. FINE RUBBER COURSE: An acrylic latex coating containing fine rubber aggregates is designed to create a smooth cushion finish, in preparation for the texture and finish courses.

4. TEXTURE COURSE: Multi-purpose acrylic color concentrate mixed with approved silica sands provides a uniform surface texture and determines the speed of play and traction on the court.

5. FINISH COURSE: If done without sand will create a vibrant, durable finish highly resistant to weather and ultra-violet degradation. Latex-ite is available in Forest Green, Winter Green, Spring Green, Summer Red, Adobe Tan, America's Red Clay, and Royal Blue.

6. LINES: Latex-ite Striping Paint, a high hiding, heavy bodied acrylic latex, comes both textured and untextured, and covers in one application
