Specifications To Refurbish and Color Coat Tennis and Basketball Hard Courts
- Scrape and clean entire court surface area. All loose dirt and debris shall be cleaned from the court surface utilizing commercial grade mechanical air blowing equipment.
- Patch all unacceptable low areas greater than 1/8 inch depth with SportMaster leveling compound to minimize any “ponding” and “birdbaths”.
- Clean and remove dirt and foreign debris from all cracks. Fill all cracks smaller than ¼ inch width with SportMaster acrylic crack sealing compound and fill all cracks greater than ¼ inch width with hot applied rubberized polymer crack sealant. Install closed cell backer rod where necessary.
- Furnish and install two coats of SportMaster (or equal) Acrylic Resurfacer over entire court surface to build surface profile for correct footing and ball speed and fill all voids and pittings.
- Furnish and install two coats of SportMaster 100% in depth Acrylic Color sealer in the choice of color(s).
- Layout, tape and apply two coats of SportMaster acrylic line paint as per guideline from the United States Tennis Court and Track Builder’s Association.
- Furnish and install on fence court use regulations sign as detailed below at all usable court entrance gate.
